You Can't Handle the Truth
Here's the deal: If you are looking for someone to blow smoke up your back side; I'm not your guy.
I'm sure that in the history of my online writing I have made this point clear more than once. But apparently it bears repeating. It comes down to this: I am not impressed.
Now I don't mean to be harsh. But there's a reason the word 'exceptional' exists. It describes those few who are so uniquely good at what they do that they exist outside of two standard deviations of the bell curve. And no; I am not going to describe what the bell curve is. Go take a statistics class.
But there's something about people, especially Americans, where everyone thinks they are exceptional. That is not the case. In fact, if I were to identify any trend; it would be that the number of truly exceptional people in this country is actually decreasing. the politically correct environment that we now inhabit forces us to find unique merit in EVERY individual. And when merit is hard to find; we simply make something up. Well I'm here to say "Homey don't play dat!!!"
I don't suffer from that chronic niceness thing that persuades me to say nice things about people or situations that don't merit nice words. At the same time; I'm the first person to lavish praise upon those that truly do bear the distinction of being exceptional. So bottom line: If you ask me what I think; I will tell you. I won't be mean. But I will be truthful. I will not tell you that you are exceptional when you are clearly unremarkable. But I will always try to do whatever is in my power to help you get a few steps closer to your goal.
